YIT and XTX Markets have signed a new agreement to launch the construction of a second data center in Kajaani. The project includes the delivery of the building’s frame and envelope, further strengthening Kajaani’s position as a growing data center ecosystem.
1,000 Tons of Steel Structures
Trutec Oy will deliver the steel frame for Phase 2 of the XTX Markets data center. The delivery includes approximately 1,000 tons of load-bearing steel structures for the facility. Deliveries are scheduled for autumn 2025. Trutec Oy also supplied the steel frame for the project’s first phase.
XTX Markets is a UK-based algorithmic trading company that uses the latest machine learning technology to produce price forecasts for over 50,000 financial instruments. The first data center has a floor area of 15,000 square meters. XTX Markets owns a 478-hectare site in Kajaani. The company plans to apply for building permits for four additional data centers on the same site.
Trutec’s Role in Data Center Construction
